Forgeries Collection : 2 – Parts deleted from post-1990 issues

These were selling a lot of ebay.co.uk from Jordan based sellers.

It is amazing how many people try to sell these stamps (missing part of the stamp), it is very easy to do this (but i will not tell so i don't encourage people to do the same).

This is an altered stamp, part of it was OMITTED by someone and is certainly NOT related to any printing error. deleting parts of these stamps is VERY easy. Iraq have over 150 stamps that were printed on such glossy paper and the printing can be removed without affecting the paper itself.

The X marks were put on the stamp to fool people, if this happens in a printer they would just destroy it not mark it like that, and suppose they want to mark it, would they mark EVERY STAMP in EVERY SHEET printed this way ?

These two stamps were sold on Ebay.co.uk recently for a lot of money but in actual fact they are not genuine errors but forgeries, here is some proof

The part you see omitted was done on a normal stamp

For the boat stamp, if you zoom on the omitted one, you can see how the deletion process removed some of the sea color below “BAREED” in Arabic.

in the same listing, same technique.. only when there is no white or transparent background to make “INCREADIBLE” errors they delete part of the stamp itself.
